Tulips

In the fall, Grandpa helped us plant some tulips in our front yard. They started to bloom when we got back from our beach house vacation (I'll post pt.2 next). We haven't cut them because we like them outside.

We planted them in some dirt up front.
I think these tulips were from last spring because
they didn't turn out very good.
The pink ones are really pretty.
The yellow ones are pretty too.
I think the tie die- ones are my favorite.
This yellow one had red in it!
Most of the yellow ones just had black in the center.
So pretty.

My Mom took some pictures too.

She took the pictures in the evening so most of them were closed.

Sedric was out there while my Mom took pictures.

More of the tulips had bloomed by then.

Sedric loves tulips!

A lot of other flowers are in bloom as well.

Phlox and Heather.

Camelias.

Mr. and Mrs. D, good friends of ours, gave us these three Weeping cherry
trees when we moved in to our new house. They gave us three
of them because my Mom and Dad had only three kids
(James, Mariposa, and me).

  1. I love your pictures and commentary! Do you each have "your" tree? You should plant three more....!

  3. I'm not sure if we each have our own tree or not. I'll have to ask my Mom.

  4. I have tulips that look like your "tie dye" ones. And they are named Shirley tulips. I bought them because that was my mother's name (your great-grandmother). I love all the flowers around your house!
