Red breasted sapsucker

Back in October, a bird that we thought was a woodpecker started pecking at our nice plum tree. We had two problems with this: #1 The holes it was making in the tree was damaging the tree. #2 Since we thought it was a woodpecker that meant it was probably eating bugs inside the tree (Which is not good).
After awhile, Grandma looked up what kind of bird it was and it turned out it was a Red Breasted sapsucker. This meant that it was eating sap, not bad bugs in our tree. Once we found this out, Grandpa put some cloth around where the sapsucker was drilling. After he put the cloth on the tree, the sapsucker stopped coming, but I still got some good pictures before it left!
